About Sonny
Sonny S. Patel, MPH, MPhil, is a Public Health and Global Health Executive who serves on advisory committees and board of directors of organizations looking to create positive social impact. He is an optimistic executive strategist and seasoned problem solver in achieving success in midst of chaos, working with international governments, non-profit organizations, corporations, and start-up companies around the world.
Patel is a former NIH Fogarty Global Health Scholar and held research positions at academic institutions. Patel has developed protocols, programs and training to build capacity and knowledge in communities worldwide – from subject matters in Public Health, Community Health, and Mental Health to specialized topics in Social Capital, Community Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction. He continues to provide executive guidance and training to corporations, non-profits and international non-governmental organizations who are aiming to grow, be sustainable and deliver high impact programs.
He has received his Bachelors from University of California, Berkeley, his Masters from University of Southern California (Public Health and Global Health Leadership) and King’s College London (Psychological Medicine).
