FDA approves first COVID19 vaccine to-date

Monday morning and news arrived that FDA fully approves Pfizer / BioNTech SE Coronavirus Vaccine as the first COVID-19 vaccine for prevention of #COVID19 disease in 16 years of age and older.

Of US total, the Pfizer / BioNTech SE Coronavirus Vaccine is the most delivered (232,313,955 doses) and administered vaccine (92,002,656 people fully vaccinated) in the US (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).

As Covid-19 hospitalizations increase, a greater number of Americans are deciding to get vaccinated which have seen uptake in the weekly vaccination numbers. Currently 51.5% of US population (who are able to received a vaccine) have been fully vaccinated and 60.7% of US population have been vaccinated with at least 1 dose (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).

Overall, more than 627,000 people have died from coronavirus in the U.S.. 170.8 million people are fully vaccinated in USA.

Will recent news of fully approval shift the numbers to increase even further (please comment below)?

Would more people take the third shot of COVID-19 vaccine now (see comment for Linkedin post to last week’s poll to join the conversation)?
